CLEANING & MAINTENANCE
Care & Cleaning: Glass or Mirror
- Always use fresh, clean and soft materials to wash and dry glass
- Do not use bristle brushes or abrasive cleaning materials or products
- Use a soft cloth or clean synthetic sponge for washing. Do not use the same towel/sponge for wiping sills or frames. If cloth or sponge, you are cleaning with falls on the floor or is contaminated in any way, do not reuse and swap out for a fresh cleaning utensil.
- A squeegee of 70 – 85 durometer hardness is recommended for removal of wash water and dirt
- Do not apply heavy pressure in any cleaning operation
- Use a different sponge, cleaning cloth and water bucket for cleaning the outside and the inside of the windows
- A little extra detergent for cleaning will make using the squeegee easier
- When cleaning mirror or back painted products ensure that there is no stagnant water around the edges, or the paint / silvering will begin to deteriorate.
- For mirror, showers, railings, and partitions we recommend you use Barber Glass Cleaner. Available for purchase at our office.
- Never store glass or mirror outside.
